I was going to get into some of Drake’s finer details but then I realized you guys don’t know anything about him so let’s start from the tippy-top

Drake Mallone grew up in a bad neighborhood in a worse city.  At time supervillainy was at an all-time high and his hometown had been turned into one giant base of operations for a villainess known as Nyx.  A newly-formed team of heroes known as the Alliance for Superpowered Law Enforcement was doing their best to stop her, but in doing so they just paved the way for many new smaller villains to take a hold of things.

Drake got kicked out of his home when he was pretty young due to disagreements with his abusive father.  With nowhere else to go he became a henchman to a local, currently nameless villain.  Under the villain’s servitude he learned some martial arts, the most important art being improvisation.  He also became friends with a young woman named Miki, who from then on served as his big sister and mentor.  The two of them rose to a high rank in the henchman hierarchy and got the nickname “Double Dragon.”

Eventually A.S.L.E. set their sights on taking down the villain and they had to fight Drake.  Drake lost, as did the villain, but he begged ASLE to take him in.  He always had a pretty strong sense of justice and he was leaping at the chance to be able to do the right thing for once in his life.  Though some members have reservations, the leader said yes.

Eventually ASLE had five members.  In order of joining, they were: Hummingbird, 13, Giga, Red Dragon (Drake), and Tremo.  At the start of NMC/AVC, Drake is the only member still in ASLE.  The current team lineup includes himself, Miki, Cyrus and Lily.
